Gambling den busted in Sattari

Nine persons were taken into custody, and further investigations are underway

Crime Branch Goa raided a gambling den at Honda, Sattari, in the early hours of 31 March and arrested nine persons. The den was allegedly operated by Surya Gaonkar, while the others were involved as players.

Cash amounting to Rs 52,300, along with gambling paraphernalia, was seized. A case has been registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Public Gambling Act. The investigation is being carried out by PI Sangodkar under the supervision of SP Jivba Dalvi.
