Farmers from Hubballi, Belagavi, Naragund and Dharwad will hold a morcha in Belagavi on Thursday, demanding Central Government intervention over the Kalasa water issue, says environmentalist Ranjendra Kerkar. The farmers allege that the Goa Government is creating hurdles in accessing Kalasa waters.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka chief minister and Water Resources Minister have assured that work on the Mhadei project will be taken up.
