Electricity department to waive additional bill penalty

The Electricity Department is set to waive additional bill penalties, with consumers who paid the extra charges over the past seven months to receive bill credits.

As per information received from a senior officer of the Electricity Department, a circular to waive the additional penalty on electricity bills will be issued within the next two days. Consumers who paid the extra amount over the last seven months will receive credit adjustments in their future bills.
