Dhangar community to seek CM, Amit Shah's intervention on ST status

The community is planning to launch an agitation if its demand is not met

A delegation of the Dhangar community is set to meet the Chief Minister over its long-pending demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status. Thereafter, the delegation will seek a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Preparations are also underway for an agitation if ST status is not granted. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Dhangar community held in Margao, informed Babu Kavlekar.
