Child rights panel seeks activation of village and municipal child committees

Progress reports are required to be submitted every three months

The Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has directed the Director of Panchayats and the Director of Urban Development to activate Village and Municipal Child Committees under the Goa Children's Act.


The commission said the step is aimed at ensuring that the best interests of children are protected. It has also instructed that progress reports be submitted every three months.
