‘Goa First’ targets BJP misrule, Vijai says alliance is ‘on target’

Vijai Sardesai defends the ‘Goa First’ alliance, saying it aims to unite Goa

Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai said the 'Goa First' alliance was formed to unite Goa and defeat what he described as BJP's misrule. He said strong reactions from both BJP and Congress show that the alliance is making an impact, while clarifying they are not part of any "joint venture" and that the people's wishes will prevail.

Sardesai said they are open to criticism, adding that elections are still some time away and they have a long way to go, with many things yet to improve. On Girish Chodankar's remarks, he said, "Girish Chodankar is my voter. He has the right to speak, and we have the right to respond." He added that political misunderstandings are common and said they are working on them, while expressing disappointment over the current state of Congress.
