Woman loses Rs 2 lakh in fake airport emergency scam

Fraudsters allegedly fabricated a story that her friend was being held by Mopa Airport police and required immediate payment

A 61-year-old woman from Siolim was allegedly cheated of Rs 2 lakh after fraudsters falsely claimed that her friend had been detained by Mopa Airport police and urgently needed financial help. Anjuna police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
