Veteran tiatr artist Titta Pretto is no more; funeral today in Mumbai

He enjoyed a career in Konkani theatre that spanned nearly seven decades

Veteran Goan tiatr artist Titta Pretto has passed away on 10 June 2026, at the age of 93. He had a career spanning nearly seven decades in Konkani theatre.

Born in Aldona in 1933, he began acting at the age of 15 in Mumbai and performed in thousands of tiatrs across Goa, Mumbai, and abroad. He was widely regarded as one of the finest actors and comedians in Konkani theatre. His funeral will be held today, 11 June 2026. His mortal remains will leave his residence at 4.30 pm, followed by a mass at 5 pm at St Michael's Church, Mahim West.
