AAP has opposed E20 petrol, claiming that the ethanol-blended fuel is leading to reduced mileage and mechanical issues, including carburettor and fuel injector problems, in some vehicles. The party has urged the government to allow consumers a choice between pure petrol and E20 fuel, while arguing that E20 should be priced lower due to its 20% ethanol content. It has also launched a website (stope20petrol.com) to gather public feedback.
