The Voice examines delays in Kala Academy’s renovation, with Rupesh Raut and Francis Coelho discussing PWD approvals, IIT Madras’ assessment and government action

The prolonged delay in Kala Academy’s repair and renovation work continues to concern Goa’s artist community. Despite the chief minister forming a task force to expedite the process and assurances that work would begin in August 2026, there has been little progress.

In this video, Senior Reporter Rupesh Raut and Task Force member Francis Coelho examine the reasons for the delay in the PWD issuing the work order and clearing the necessary files, IIT Madras’ role in assessing the building, the Chief Minister’s Office and PWD Minister Digambar Kamat and more.
