Heavy rain and strong winds lashed parts of Goa, causing fallen trees and road blockages. A tree collapsed outside Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s Mahalakshmi Bungalow, in Altinho, damaging two vehicles, including one belonging to former Dy CM Babu Kavlekar. No injuries were reported. The incident raised concerns over disaster management preparedness, with questions over delayed tree removal and emergency response during the monsoon season.
