Shirodkar promotes ‘Mhajo Flat’ scheme, announces borewell crackdown

WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar said the ‘Mhajo Flat’ scheme includes a special provision allowing housing societies to register for just Rs 10,000. He urged all eligible, but unregistered, societies to enroll under the scheme and take advantage of its benefits.

Shirodkar also said strict action against illegal borewells will commence in August to protect groundwater resources. He also announced plans for a water storage scheme to maintain sufficient dam levels and ensure water availability during the summer months.
