Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar has addressed a long-standing demand of Shantinagar residents by installing streetlights along the stretch, which had remained dark for nearly 40 years.
Following discussions with landowners to resolve a land-related issue, 18 electricity poles have now been installed, lighting up the entire stretch.
With the lighting work completed, attention has now shifted to the road, with work expected to begin soon.
