Schedule of traditional Colva fama, novenas & feast

The traditional Fama of the Miraculous Infant Jesus will be celebrated on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Colva Church, Colva.

The fama celebration will commence with the high mass at 5.30 am. Following the mass, the image of Miraculous Infant Jesus will be solemnly brought down from the altar by Rev Fr Jude Coelho, Assistant Parish Priest of Colva Church. This will be followed by the blessing of the banner, a procession and the blessing of the Miraculous Infant Jesus image.

NOVENA MASSES

The novena masses will be held daily at 6 am, 7 am, 8 am and 5.30 pm.

FEAST DAY 

The Feast of the Miraculous Infant Jesus will be celebrated on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The Masses will be held at 5.45 am, 7.15 am and 9 am (high mass). Rev Fr Eremito Rebello will be the main celebrant for the high mass.

MASS SCHEDULE IN THE CHURCH COMPOUND

Masses in the church compound will be celebrated at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 noon, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm and 7 pm.

ORGANISING, CARDS & SICK

Infant Jesus cards and holy pictures can be purchased from the designated Cortines counter.

The sick can avail of the arrangements between 8 am and 8 pm. A maximum of two persons are permitted to accompany a sick person.

This year’s celebrations have been organised by the Executive Committee of the Confraria de SSMO. Sacramento, Menino Jesus, N Sra de Merces, Socorro e de Santas Almas, Colva Church, Colva, Salcete, Goa.
