SC rejects Tarun Tejpal’s plea seeking exemption from surrender

The Supreme Court has directed Tarun Tejpal to surrender within two weeks in the 2013 rape case

The Supreme Court has rejected former Tehelka editor Tarun Tejpal's plea seeking exemption from surrender and directed him to surrender within two weeks. The Goa High Court had convicted Tejpal in the 2013 rape case and sentenced him to 10 years rigorous imprisonment. Tejpal has challenged the High Court verdict before the Supreme Court.
