Sankhali Congress slams unplanned road works, warns CM Sawant of public backlash

Sankhali Congress has criticised the ongoing widening and concreting of the road from Supachi Pud, Harvalem to Sankhali Hospital Junction, alleging poor planning and inconvenience to the public. 

Councillor Pravin Blegan questioned the decision to undertake the work during the monsoon and pointed out that water and sewerage pipelines, along with underground power cables, run beneath a 200-metre stretch of the concrete road. He questioned whether the road would have to be dug up again if any of these utilities develop faults.
