Salaulim Dam at 50% capacity; water level expected to rise with rainfall

According to official sources, four days of steady rainfall could raise water levels and restore the reservoir to full capacity

The Salaulim Dam in Sanguem is currently at around 50% storage. The dam needs a water level of 41.15 metres to overflow. While the level has dropped slightly following a pause in rainfall, Water Resources Department engineer Reagan D'Souza said that four days of continuous rain could help the dam regain levels and reach full capacity.
