A huge tree fell on a house in Mathwada, Pilgao, in the early hours of 10 June 2026, around 1.30 am, causing major damage to it. The house belongs to Pujita Pundalik Kavlekar. No injuries or loss of life were reported. After being informed, MLA Premendra Shet, villagers, fire brigade personnel, and other officials rushed to the spot and removed the fallen tree. The MLA said that compensation will be provided for the damage to the house.
