Raia celebrates traditional 'Konsachem Fest'

The feast is celebrated in Raia on August 5 every year

Raia village celebrated the traditional Konsachem Fest on Wednesday, August 5. As part of the annual custom, the season's first sheaves were ceremonially offered before being shared among the faithful as a symbol of gratitude for a bountiful harvest and prayers for prosperity. The celebration brought together parishioners, farmers, and villagers, reflecting Goa's rich cultural and farming heritage.


Bishop Agnelo Pinheiro, Bishop of Sindhudurg, was the main celebrant at the feast mass.
