Senior advocate Radharao Gracias has urged the government to scrap the 'Anywhere Registration' system for property transactions. Under the new system, property sale deeds can be registered at any Sub-Registrar Office within the district where the property is located.
Gracias said property documents should be registered at the Sub-Registrar Office having jurisdiction over the area where the property is situated. He warned that the new system could lead to complications and difficulties in the registration process. He urged the government to withdraw the provision and restore the earlier system.
