No party symbols for CCP elections this year

Elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) are scheduled for 11 March 2026 and will be conducted without party symbols, as the civic polls will not be contested on party lines. The nomination process will open on 17 February and conclude on 24 February, while counting of votes will take place on 13 March.


As far as voting is concerned, it will be conducted through the ballot paper system using the existing electoral roll.


Election authorities have capped campaign expenditure at Rs 2.5 lakh per candidate, while a total of 48 polling booths will be set up for polling day.


The Goa State Election Commission (GSEC) has issued a notification on the delimitation of CCP wards, according to which, the Additional Collector (North) has been appointed as the Election Officer for the polls, and the Collector (North) will serve as the Returning Officer.


The GSEC Commissioner also announced that the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect immediately.
