MP Viriato criticises detention of Goa Revolution Day protestors

The South Goa MP says that peaceful voices should not be suppressed in a democracy

South Goa MP Capt Viriato Fernandes criticised the arrest of protestors on Goa Revolution Day, saying the BJP-led government should not act like the 'Salazars of the Portuguese regime.' He further said Goa fought for freedom and democratic rights, and suppressing peaceful voices is unacceptable.
