Mormugao officials hold meeting on Ganesh festival preparations

Mormugao officials review Ganesh Chaturthi preparations, banning DJ music and urging people to follow safety guidelines

The Mormugao Deputy Collector Prataprao Gaonkar and Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss preparations for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Authorities have banned DJ music during the visarjan processions and permitted only Dindi pathaks with traditional musical instruments.

Officials also urged all sarvajanik Ganesh pandals to register, exercise caution while bursting fireworks, and cooperate with Drishti lifeguards during immersion.
