Morjim farmers demand end to app-based fertiliser distribution, seek local godown

Farmers in Morjim have urged the government to simplify fertiliser distribution, alleging that the mandatory FFS app system is causing hardship to them. They said many farmers are illiterate, do not own smartphones, and have to travel to Mandrem, Pernem or even Banda and Aronda in Maharashtra to purchase fertiliser due to the lack of a fertiliser godown in Morjim.

The farmers demanded that fertilisers be supplied to Krishi Card holders without the app-based process and questioned why such a system was not enforced during free fertiliser distribution programmes.
