Monkey fever scare in Banda, ticks sent for testing

Several cases of the disease were reported in Sattari in 2018

Fears of Kyasanur Forest Disease (Monkey Fever) have emerged after dead monkeys were found in Banda-Sawantwadi (Sindhudurg). Authorities are on high alert, and samples have been sent to Pune.

In 2018, Sattari taluka reported 35 cases of the disease.
