Missing youth found dead at Salvador do Mundo–Socorro creek

The body of 25-year-old Akash Vishwakarma, from West Bengal, was recovered from the Salvador do Mundo-Socorro creek following a search operation.

The youth had gone missing after his vehicle reportedly fell into the creek following an accident at around 8.30 pm last night. According to an eyewitness, the rider lost control of the vehicle, collided with another one, and fell into the creek. Personnel from the Police, Fire and Emergency Services (FES), the 108 Ambulance Service, and local residents conducted a search operation throughout the night.
