Malabar Gliding Frog conservation poster launched

A conservation education poster on the Malabar Gliding Frog (Rhacophorus malabaricus) was unveiled by noted environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar and wildlife photographer and artist Raman Kulkarni. The poster showcases the frog's life cycle through photographs and highlights its habitat, behaviour, threats and conservation needs. 

The initiative is part of the Malabar Gliding Frog Conservation Project by the Vivekanand Environment Awareness Brigade (VEAB), supported by WWF-India under the Conservation Catalyst Programme 2026. Project Coordinator Dr Sandesh Gawas, along with Sanket Naik, Ramesh Zarmekar, Gajanan Shetye, Pournima Kerkar, Samruddhi Kerkar, Chandrakant Avkhale and Vitoba Gawade, were present on the occasion.
