Maha melava Shifted from Azad Maidan to Kranti Maidan, Mardol: Prakash Velip

UTAA president Prakash Velip said the Maha melava, earlier scheduled to be held at Azad Maidan in Panjim, will now be held at Kranti Maidan, Mardol, on August 13, 2026.

Velip said the organisers received a letter stating that permission to hold the meeting in Panjim had been denied. Following this, they decided to shift the venue to Kranti Maidan, Mardol. He said the organisers remain committed to securing ST political reservation before the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
