Konkan Railway strengthens arrangements for smooth Ganpati travel

Special trains, medical aid, passenger support, crowd management and enhanced security are among the special arrangements for Ganesh Chaturthi this year

Konkan Railway has made extensive arrangements for the 2026 Ganesh Chaturthi festival, including special trains, medical facilities, passenger assistance, crowd management and enhanced security across stations.

First-aid posts will operate from September 12, while 24×7 Rail Yatri Sahayata Kendras, holding areas, special ticketing arrangements and additional food and bus services will support passengers during the rush. CCTV monitoring and coordination between RPF and local police will be strengthened.

Stations will also feature Ganesh Utsav stalls, cultural programmes, selfie points, special lighting, floral welcomes and other festive activities.
