The Konkani Bhasha Mandal has objected to GSCERT circulating excerpts of Swami Vivekananda's Chicago speech in English, Hindi and Marathi, but not Konkani. GSCERT has directed high and higher secondary schools across Goa to read the excerpts on September 11.
KBM said the omission of the state's official language is an insult to Goans and urged GSCERT to immediately circulate a Konkani translation.
