Impressed by CM Sawant’s leadership style, IndiGo crew pens letter to him

On a recent trip by Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, the flight crew were so impressed by him that they decided to put their thoughts on paper. In their letter to the chief minister, they praised his work, and especially that of ‘Swayampurna Goa’ which had clearly impressed the crew.

In response, the chief minister said he was touched by the contents of the letter and even shared it on social media, adding that travelling with IndiGo is always a pleasure. 

In their letter, the cabin crew of IndiGo flight 6E 985 (from Goa to Hyderabad) wrote that having the chief minister travel with them was a truly special moment, and that they were grateful for the opportunity to extend their wishes to him. The letter doesn’t end there.

“Your journey in public service and your continued contribution towards the progress and development of Goa are truly inspiring. As the 13^th and current Chief Minister of Goa, your leadership reflects your commitment to public service, inclusive development and the aspirations of the people of the state,” the letter continued.

The cabin crew were particularly impressed by the chief minister’s vision of ‘Swayampurna Goa’, which focuses on self-reliance, empowering communities, strengthening local livelihoods and creating opportunities for people. They noted that the initiative gives special attention to areas such as women’s empowerment, better access to government schemes and tourism.

“These sustained efforts towards building a self-reliant, empowered and progressive Goa are commendable,” the letter added.

The cabin crew also expressed their admiration for the chief minister’s leadership, discipline, dedication and sense of responsibility. “Your journey reminds us that serving people – whether through public service or through the responsibilities entrusted to us – is ultimately about doing our part with sincerity and commitment,” they continued.

The crew went on to say that the letter is a “small gesture” on their behalf to express their respect for the service Dr Sawant is rendering to Goa and the nation.

They ended the letter by wishing him continued success in his journey of service and leadership, and expressed hope that his work would continue to inspire efforts towards building a stronger and better India.

The letter was signed by the cabin crew of the flight – Haripriya, Shivani, Tanu and Deepabali.
