Govt continues push for ST political reservation: Ramesh Tawadkar

Minister Ramesh Tawadkar said the Goa govt is actively pursuing political reservation for STs

Tribal Welfare Minister Ramesh Tawadkar said the government is making every effort to secure political reservation for the Scheduled Tribe community. He said he is regularly discussing the issue with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, BJP Goa President Damu Naik and senior party leaders.

While no communication has yet been received from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Tawadkar said the government remains committed to pursuing the matter.
