Goa’s Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao appointed to Vatican media body

The cardinal has been selected to the Vatican Dicastery for Communication, which oversees global media coordination and digital outreach

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao, Archbishop of Goa and Daman, and president of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI), as a member of the Vatican Dicastery for Communication.

The Dicastery for Communication is central to managing the Vatican’s media presence, overseeing news, digital platforms, and public engagement.
