The Goa Athletics Association has announced that Goa will host two major athletics championships in 2026 at the Atal Athletic Stadium, Bambolim. The 57th Goa State Athletics Championship, in memory of late Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, will be held from 30 July to 1 August, while the 37th West Zone Junior Athletics Championship is scheduled for 27-29 September.
Over 2,000 athletes are expected to participate in the state event, which will also serve as selection trials for the West Zone championship.
