Goa to enforce strict ITMS camera traffic fines

It will come into effect from 1 July 2026, with penalties of up to Rs 10,000 for violations

The Goa Transport Department has announced strict ITMS camera-based fines for traffic violations, effective from 1 July 2026. Fines of up to Rs 10,000 will apply for offences such as using a mobile phone while driving, overspeeding, jumping signals, not wearing helmets or seat belts, and dangerous driving.

Some violations may also lead to driving licence suspension. Authorities have urged all motorists to strictly follow traffic rules.
