Goa supports ‘One Nation, One Election’: CM Sawant

Dr Pramod Sawant said simultaneous elections would help improve governance and ensure greater emphasis on development

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant expressed Goa's support for the proposed 'One Nation, One Election' initiative during an interaction with the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), led by MP PP Chaudhary. He said that synchronised elections would strengthen governance, ensure policy continuity, reduce the recurring burden of elections, and enable governments to focus on long-term development.

The chief minister also reiterated the Goa government's commitment to supporting reforms that make governance more efficient, transparent, and people-centric.
