MORE ABOUT THE PAVILLION
The India International Trade Fair is India’s largest integrated trade exhibition, combining business, social, cultural, and educational activities. Visitors include media professionals, marketing experts, social activists, NGOs, and others, all seeking opportunities and resources. Government organisations also use the platform to raise awareness about their programmes and policies among the public.
The Goa Pavilion, spread over 200 sqm, has been designed in keeping with this year’s theme. It showcases the state’s rich culinary heritage, the warm hospitality of the Goan people, and Goa’s developmental achievements through a combination of audio-visual displays, hoardings and photographic exhibits.
A vibrant celebration of Goa’s rich cultural heritage will take centre stage at the Goa Pavilion during IITF 2025. Designed to offer visitors an immersive experience, the pavilion highlights the state’s cultural traditions, local handicrafts and artistic legacy.
In addition to the cultural exhibits, visitors can savour Goa’s renowned cuisine, including regional specialties that reflect the state’s diverse culinary heritage. Traditional treats such as dodol and bebinca will be served, allowing guests to enjoy authentic Goan flavours alongside the visual and artistic displays, all under one roof.
VOCAL FOR LOCAL
The Department of Tourism; GTDC; Department of Handicrafts, Textile and Coir; Goa Investment Promotion Facilitation Board; Goa State Biodiversity Board; Goa Waste Management Corporation and Department of Science, Technology and Waste Management are also participating in the fair.
Goan artisans, facilitated by the Department of Handicrafts, Textile and Coir, have set up stalls at the Goa Pavilion to showcase and sell their traditional products. The emphasis is firmly on promoting authentic Goan crafts throughout the 14-day trade fair, which concludes on 27 November 2025.
The pavilion also provides a unique platform for direct interaction between producers, potential buyers, and visitors, fostering engagement and creating opportunities for the promotion of Goa’s rich artisanal heritage.
Koku, a traditional drink made from kokum (Garcinia indica), was recently launched at the Goa Pavilion. Hailing from the heritage of the Western Ghats, this time-tested beverage is celebrated for its refreshing, cooling properties, as well as its antioxidant and digestive benefits.
The drink is produced under the GoVan State Umbrella Brand of Goa, a project initiated by the Goa State Biodiversity Board in collaboration with Team 24, highlighting the state’s commitment to promoting local, sustainable products.
SHOWCASING GOA
The pavilion will also host cultural performances by Goan folk artists, offering visitors a vibrant glimpse into the state’s rich traditions. Alongside these performances, a range of Goan handicrafts, artefacts, traditional products, and GI-tagged items will be available for purchase directly from local artisans.
Beyond showcasing Goa’s cultural heritage and hospitality, the pavilion aims to promote the state as an international tourist destination and highlight its potential for investment and industrial growth, strengthening both tourism and economic activity in Goa.
A key attraction of the Goa Pavilion will be the daily performances by Goan artistes, who will captivate visitors with their talent, music and vibrant portrayals of the state’s cultural traditions.
The pavilion has been conceptualised, designed, erected and will be managed by Vinayak Decorators, a reputed Goa-based agency, in line with the theme set by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), under whose initiative the IITF is held annually in New Delhi.
In previous editions, the Goa Pavilion has accolades, having been adjudged the best pavilion among smaller states for its outstanding displays and presentation.
