GPCC president Girish Chodankar questioned the government's 500 m drug-free zone around schools, asking, "Why only 500 metres. What happens at 501 metres?"
He said protecting children from drugs cannot stop at an arbitrary boundary and accused the BJP government of focusing on optics while Goa's drug network continues to flourish.
Chodankar demanded that the gvernment dismantle the entire drug supply chain across Goa, rather than shifting enforcement responsibility onto schools, stressing that children deserve safety in neighbourhoods, playgrounds, colleges, villages and cities.
