Govt launches 48-hour wet waste to compost project

The government is planning to expand the eco-friendly waste management model statewide

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated a waste management project at the Bicholim treatment plant that converts wet waste into organic compost within 48 hours. The initiative by Sampurna Earth Company aims to promote scientific and eco-friendly waste disposal in the state. 


The Chief Minister also inspected the facility and reviewed the project. The government plans to implement the model in all panchayats and municipalities across Goa.
