Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that inspections in Gogol and Rawanfond, in Margao, revealed major violations in three food units. One unlicensed unit was shut down and fined Rs 10,000, while another was found storing expired stock.
A third unit was fined Rs 5,000 for using synthetic colours. Around 450 kg of farsan worth Rs 85,000 was seized, and samples were sent for testing. The minister said that strict action will continue to ensure food safety.
