South Goa Member of Parliament Capt (Retd) Viriato Fernandes has alleged that the BJP and its agents fabricated and circulated a fake tweet in his name stating that Dabolim airport is being shut from tomorrow.
The MP learnt of the fake post while he was in Delhi attending a Defence Committee meeting. He condemned the party for stooping to such levels and resorting to fabricated posts in his name to mislead the people of Goa.
“Our fight in successfully exposing the BJP’s alleged attempt to close the Dabolim airport through the backdoor has rattled them and made them come out with such fake and fictitious tweets,” he said.
“This is the handiwork of the Bharatiya Jhumla Party in promoting fake post to cover their nefarious designs,” he added.
“We will not allow Dabolim to close down. Never!” he pledged.
