Cyclone lashes Sattari; temple and homes damaged

Suranguli and Shirsode in Sattari were the worst affected, experiencing heavy rain, hail, and a night-long power outage

A cyclonic storm struck the villages of Suranguli and Shirsode in Sattari between 10 pm and 10:30 pm last night, bringing strong winds, heavy rain, and hail.

In Suranguli, half of the roof of the Sabha Mandap at Shri Sateri Brahmani Devasthan was blown away, and several houses sustained damage. In Shirsode, the roofs of three to four houses were torn off. The storm also caused a power outage that lasted throughout the night in both villages.
