Cyber fraud case registered in Fatorda over fake gas bill update

The victim lost Rs 3.25 lakh to the scammer

Fatorda Police have registered a case of cyber fraud after a man was allegedly cheated of Rs 3.25 lakh. According to police, the accused posed as a gas bill official and convinced the victim to install a mobile application, following which multiple unauthorised UPI transactions were carried out.

Further investigation is underway.
