Court orders status quo in Cuncolim sociedade dispute

The 2nd Additional Civil Judge, Senior Division and JMFC has directed status quo in the dispute involving the Sociedade Agricola Dos Goancares de Cuncolim e Veroda, which has around 1,700 members.

The case filed by Aviraj B Dessai challenges 84 newly introduced bylaws, allegedly framed without taking members into confidence, and the proposed elections under the new bylaws, which were opposed by a section of members.
