Cortalim hosted its sixth mangrove restoration drive, with over 300 saplings planted in memory of late Fr (Dr) Bolmax Pereira. The programme was organised by St Joseph Vaz College, Goencho Ekvott, One Earth Foundation, Goa Green Ecosystem, and Chicalim Youth Farmers Club.
Goencho Ekvott Joint General Secretary Olencio Simoes stressed the importance of protecting mangroves, while Orville Dourado urged people to support efforts to protect Goa's forests, wetlands and biodiversity.
