The eight-day Vasco Dev Damodar Saptah concluded peacefully and enthusiastically. As a safety measure for devotees and traders, the Mormugao Municipal Council and the Saptah Committee provided insurance coverage during the festival.
The municipality arranged insurance cover worth around Rs 20 crore, while the Saptah Committee secured an additional Rs 5 crore in coverage, the Saptah Committee former president and insurance advisor, Shailesh Govekar informed.
