Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant flagged off 10 firefighting vehicles and eight motorcycles for the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services today. The Rs 23-crore fleet, funded by the 15th Finance Commission and the Goa Government, includes a Hazmat vehicle and a 42-metre ladder platform vehicle, the first of its kind in India.
The new vehicles will be deployed across the state to strengthen Goa's emergency response capabilities.
