Centre, CM trying to resolve Dhangar ST status issue: Damu Naik

BJP State President Damu Naik said the demand for Dhangar ST status has been pending for many years, with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and the Centre making efforts to resolve the appeal. 

He said the delay is due to technical reasons and added that he has met the Dhangar delegation and will try to take up their concerns. Naik said the community's demand is legitimate and stressed that the Dhangars are an important part of Goa's tribal community.
