Centre brings Goa ST Reservation Act into effect

The Goa ST Reservation Act, 2025, came into effect on August 6, 2026

The Central Government has officially notified the Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of the State of Goa Act, 2025. The Act comes into force from August 6, 2026, following a Gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice.
