CCP mayor, deputy mayor nominations filed

Rohit Monserrate and Vasant Agshikar filed their nominations for the post of Panaji mayor and deputy mayor

Rohit Monserrate has filed his nomination for the post of mayor of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), while Vasant Agshikar has filed his nomination for the post of deputy mayor. Both are likely to be appointed to their respective positions. An official announcement is awaited.

The filing of nominations for the posts of mayor and deputy mayor of Panaji took place at 11 am today.

The BJP-backed panel holds a strong majority, having secured 27 of the 30 seats in the recent municipal elections, which were held earlier this month.
